The rug is made up of 4 separate cow hides that measure approximately 1.5 x 1.5m (4’9” x 4’9”). They are carefully matched and seamed to keep that spotty contrast. All rugs are cut around the natural contours of the hide for a naturally occurring raw outer edge effect.
